This is an opportunity to join an award winning director in a new theatre project scheduled for
completion in late 2009.
This is an opportunity to be involved in the early stages of the development process and to
work in partnership with the director to co-create the resultant production.
The guiding principle of this project at this stage is to find innovative ways of presenting
a wide variety of cinematic framing devices on the stage. An interest in the mechanics of stage
illusions and aesthetics derived from Victorian/steampunk/burlesque influences would be preferable.
Whilst this project is currently unfunded we are expected to secure funding for both research
and development activities and the final creation of the show. Until that point you will be
expected to attend various creative meeting and assist in the production of materials for funding
applications. These initial activities will be unpaid but will work around your specific timetable.
The Director will be meeting with applicants in through September with work starting in
October in preparation for the pair R&D project in Jan/Feb 2009.
