e-skills UK, the Sector Skills Council which brings employers together with education and government to define and address important IT skills issues, has launched a newsletter specifically for the business community.
The quarterly newsletter, Business and IT Skills, is targeted at everyone with an interest in IT skills and aims to provide a stimulating, wide-ranging look at relevant research, trends, government matters and e-skills UK programmes designed to support employers. It highlights areas where employers can contribute views and help to shape education and training to meet future skills needs. Each edition also provides opportunities for voting on key issues.
The first edition includes articles on offshoring and the implications for the IT workforce, predictions, quotes from industry leaders on the best advice they've ever been given and updates on e-skills UK initiatives for IT users and IT professionals.
