Trinity / OU are establishing a database of trainers with a wide range of excellent, relevant instrumental and vocal whole-class teaching skills and experience, from which Regional Programme Managers will select people to deliver the face-to-face modules.
The structure of the modules will be written by Trinity/OU, but trainers will be encouraged to develop and deliver in response to their own specialisms and personality.
What should you do next?
If you are interested to learn more about the programme, and think you would like to be a trainer or mentor, go to www.ks2music.org.uk and register (it is free) to find details of how to apply and more about the programme. The mentor is central to the programme and we are keen to hear from suitably experienced people to take on this role. Mentors will be classroom teachers, instrumental/ vocal teachers or community musicians and will work with practitioners to help them get the best out of the programme. Further information and a person specification for mentors is available on the website at www.ks2music.org.uk, along with an application process.
You can find a trainer specification on the What's On? page in the Yorkshire region of www.musicleader.net.
To be registered on the database, send your details to nick.beach@trinitycollege.co.uk marking the subject line TRAINER REGISTRATION - KS2 MUSIC CPD PROGRAMME, and including the following information:
