Following the success of these events over the past two years, we have planned an exciting
programme that will run throughout the 07 – 08 academic year. We are also delighted that LCM Select
will now be partnering us for these events.
Each of our Project Managers' forum events takes place on a Wednesday afternoon from 2pm –
4pm, at Yorkshire Dance in Leeds. There is a chance for some networking followed by input from
leading project managers and strategy makers on various aspects of music education work.
The next forum takes place on:
Wednesday 17th October 2007
Music and Health - Ian Anstee from Live Music Now and Holly Marland from the Royal Northern
College of Music.
Ian talks about the current state of music in the healthcare sector in the UK with examples taken from work undertaken by Live Music Now musicians in London and work in the Royal Blackburn Hospital by Music Experience. Holly will showcase the Music and Health work that the Royal Northern College of Music is involved in and talk about new developments in the sector. The session will also look at the merits of working in healthcare settings and the variety of ways to approach this kind of work.
