6. New Companies Act 2006 Course
The Act will have a tremendous impact on all private, public and quoted companies. Amongst the hundreds of changes will be the right for the shareholders of a company to sue the current and former directors of the company for acts of negligence and breaches of duty via derivative actions.
Now is the time to make sure your company is well prepared for this new legislation because it is the biggest shake up to Company Law for decades.
We are presenting a half-day seminar to explain the changes, it is an opportunity for people to recognise quickly what they should be doing now to ensure that they put the right processes in place so that they do not suffer the significant penalties that are being introduced. The ramifications of the changes are clearly explained and each person receives, free of charge, an extensive volume of easy to follow notes which a substantial reference is for them after the seminar.

Employers, practitioners and education providers are being invited to 'Access All Areas' and take part in a major overhaul of skills and training for the creative and cultural industries.

The government- backed action plan will direct the long term supply of all publicly funded education and training for the sector.
Details of the new Creative Apprenticeship – the first recognised apprenticeship framework for the sector, currently being developed by Creative & Cultural Skills - will also be unveiled. Prototype apprenticeship schemes are being run in cities including London, Liverpool and Manchester during the first half of 2007.
The tour is also a chance to find out about - and take part in - the wide range of skills and training opportunities being provided by Creative & Cultural Skills and its partners.
